This year, potentially five of the nine seats on the Washington State Supreme Court are up for election—including at least two open seats.
That means a majority of the court will be made up of new justices, and their decisions will shape our state’s laws on everything from reproductive rights to the environment and our broken tax code.
We know what’s at stake.
Our supreme court has led nationally on protections under our state constitution—banning mandatory life sentences for young people, striking down the death penalty, and reassessing racial bias in policing.
But now, with the court turning over, Washington Democrats need the resources to be in the race, educate voters, and elect justices who will defend these hard-won victories.
