Dear MoveOn member,
In the days after ICE’s unconscionable murder of Renee Nicole Good, communities across America are expressing outrage and grief, spreading courage and solidarity, and protesting and taking action to protect immigrant neighbors from ICE’s escalating abuse and violence.
Even previously complicit corporations have finally recognized the devastation that ICE causes. After months of grassroots pressure by MoveOn members and others, Spotify announced that it has stopped running ICE recruitment ads, and Avelo Airlines said that it will stop flying ICE’s deportation charters.1,2
This is a pivotal moment to rein in ICE. The tragedies and deaths caused by ICE cannot be hidden from public view any longer, and the agency’s funding runs out on January 30—which means that Democrats in Congress can stop Donald Trump’s brutal force by refusing to fund it.
To keep up the pressure and help spread this message, we’ve printed a big batch of “ICE Out” stickers and are giving them away for free, while supplies last.

As heartless, brutal, and devastating as ICE and Trump’s broader mass deportation agenda have been already, there are plans in the works for much worse. Acting as if America’s in a war, the Trump administration plans to spend $100 million on “wartime recruitment” of 10,000 additional ICE agents—increasing the number of agents by 50%—and they’re specifically looking for right-wing radio listeners and gun enthusiasts.3
And on Wednesday night, a federal agent in Minneapolis shot and wounded Julio Cesar Sosa-Celis.4
We urgently need to keep up the pressure on Democrats and Congress to use the government funding showdown at the end of January to rein in ICE, stop the violence, and protect our lives.
By getting out our message—as widely and visibly as possible—we can help defend ourselves, our friends, family, and communities, and we can stop ICE’s aggression.
Thanks for all you do.
