As 2025 comes to a close, we look back with gratitude for the power we built together this year by organizing in solidarity with immigrant communities, blocking MAGA at the ballot and beyond, electing a people’s champion in New York City, and strengthening tenant campaigns in the small-town South.

We are excited about 2026, a year where SURJ will continue building power, bringing in new people, and organizing hundreds of thousands of white people to block MAGA at every turn. In 2026, SURJ is committed to continuing our work building the white flank of a national multiracial working-class people’s movement to win it all.

Here’s what we’re looking forward to in 2026:

2026 Elections: We will mobilize hundreds of thousands of white people in the midterm elections to win governing power away from MAGA and elect progressive candidates.
Resistance: We will mobilize more antiracist white resistance than ever before to fight back against Trump’s regime through practicing noncooperation in our everyday lives.
Grassroots Southern Organizing: We will grow our working class organizing in rural Southern communities to build multiracial campaigns that elect our champions to local office and win on material issues like housing and healthcare.
Luke 10 Congregations: Along with the Kairos Center for Religions, Rights, and Social Justice, SURJ Faith will run a 9-month program in 2026 to train congregations to fight white Christian nationalism and show up for justice.
