We’ve seen some wild political takes in Washington State… but recently, conservative podcaster Brandi Kruse managed to set a new bar.
On her show, Kruse actually suggested that Republicans should run as Democrats… You know, just slap a “D” next to their name and hope voters don’t notice. Apparently, the plan is: If you can’t win with your ideas, just pretend to be someone else.
“Is that a horrible thing to suggest?” she asked. YES, it is.
It’s insulting to every Washingtonian who exercises their right to vote and it says the quiet part out loud: Republicans can’t win here.
They’re party is such a mess that even their own commentators are openly admitting that they’re not winning, we are. And the reason for that is because Washington Democrats have built a strong, durable infrastructure powered by grassroots organizing and real values.
And while these talking heads are busy fantasizing about political cosplay, we’re doing the real work: electing Democrats who reflect the future Washington deserves and who actually share our values—on reproductive freedom, LGBTQ+ rights, climate action, strong public schools, and a functioning democracy.
