The 2026 Washington state legislative session is less than two months away and soon we will have opportunities to advocate with our state legislators to champion bills and make important investments to protect and support WA’s immigrant and refugee communities.
This will be an opportunity to keep building on the skills we have learned in the previous monthly meetings, where we discussed building people power and sharing our stories. But we welcome everyone, even if you weren’t able to join us for last month’s meeting.
If you want to better understand how we can make change together at the state level, why you should join us at Immigrant and Refugee and Advocacy Day (IRAD) on January 22, 2026, and the different ways you can help advance our policy priorities, then we hope you can make it!

La sesión legislativa del estado de Washington de 2026 está a menos de dos meses y, en solo 60 días, tendremos la oportunidad de abogar ante los legisladores estatales para que defiendan proyectos de ley y hagan inversiones importantes para proteger y apoyar a las comunidades de inmigrantes y refugiados de Washington.
Esta será una oportunidad para seguir desarrollando las habilidades que hemos aprendido en las reuniones mensuales anteriores, en las que hablamos sobre cómo fortalecer el poder de las personas y compartir nuestras historias. ¡Pero todos son bienvenidos, incluso si no pudieron asistir a la reunión del mes pasado!
