Earlier this month, Democrats didn’t just sweep races up and down the ballot; they made history.
The message was clear: We all deserve to be able to thrive, not just scrape by, and we will not accept Donald Trump’s vicious and cruel authoritarian agenda.

This month’s results filled us with hope.
Zohran Mamdani will become the mayor of New York City.1 Democrats flipped 13 seats in the Virginia House of Delegates.2 Voters who listed the economy as their top issue swung toward Democrats in New Jersey and Virginia by a shocking 93%.3 Democrats won two statewide races in Georgia.4 They even broke the Republican supermajority in the Mississippi State Senate.5 Mississippi!
This shows that the massive waves of support we saw at last month’s historic No Kings rallies were not fleeting—our movement is continuing to grow, and these electoral victories are another step toward putting a real check against Trump’s hateful agenda and abuses of power.
But it doesn’t end here.
The countdown starts now toward next year’s midterm elections where we will have the opportunity to expand these wins into a historic blue wave that doesn’t just stop Trump, but puts our country on a path toward a brighter, more equitable, progressive future.
We’re in this for the long haul.
