Hi,
Last week, voters across the country sent a clear, powerful message:
Gun safety wins. Hope wins. Our movement can win.
From Virginia to Maine, from New York City to Atlanta, Americans showed up and voted for leaders who believe that our lives are worth protecting. Here are some of our big wins:
- Abigail Spanberger was elected Governor of Virginia.
- Zohran Mamdani was elected Mayor of New York City.
- Mikie Sherrill was elected Governor of New Jersey.
- Mayor Michelle Wu was re-elected in Boston.
- Mayor Andre Dickens won re-election in Atlanta.
- Aftab Pureval was elected Mayor of Cincinnati.
- Mary Sheffield was elected Mayor of Detroit.
- Pennsylvania retained all three of its Supreme Court seats.
- Georgia flipped two Public Service Commission seats.
- Maine voters approved a red flag law that makes it easier for family members to petition a court to restrict a potentially dangerous person’s access to guns.
Each of these victories represents more than a victory at the ballot box — they represent lives saved, communities strengthened, and a future where every young person can feel safe at school, at the movies, or at home.
Our movement at March For Our Lives was born from tragedy, but we won’t let the gun lobby wear us down and make us give up on this fight. We will use these victories to recharge, regroup, and refocus our energies.
Are you with us?
With hope,
March For Our Lives
