Washington has one of the strongest, most trusted election systems in the entire country. More than 70% of Washington voters support casting their ballots by mail or drop box: securely, accessibly, and with overwhelming public confidence.
Other states look to us as a model of voter participation.
So, it’s no surprise that MAGA extremists are trying to tear our system down.
This week, QAnon operative Scott Presler—the same activist who boosted Trump’s voter registration machine in 2024—is crisscrossing Washington to promote a dangerous initiative that would kick eligible voters off the rolls and make it harder for new voters to register.
They call it “election integrity.” It’s voter suppression.
Presler and the Washington GOP are scrambling to force a proof-of-citizenship requirement, even though voters already affirm their citizenship when they register and vote.
Their initiative would create bureaucratic hoops, suppress turnout, and undermine the vote-by-mail system that Washingtonians overwhelmingly trust and rely on.
And it’s part of a national MAGA strategy. It’s happening in 26 states, including efforts to end vote-by-mail entirely in places like Oregon.
We can’t let Washington be next. While Republicans chase conspiracy theories, we protect the system that works, and we need your help to keep it that way.
