We’re gearing up for our 9th Annual Immigrant and Refugee Advocacy Day (IRAD), and we want to ensure that everyone can make their voices heard as we convene in Olympia to demand WA lawmakers stand up for immigrant communities in this moment.
Before we head to Olympia in January, join us on Saturday, November 15th, from 1:30 – 3:30 pm for WAISN’s Advocacy and Art Day! Together, we’ll be creating posters and artwork that we’ll take with us to IRAD to amplify our collective voice at the Capitol.
Art has always been a core pillar of our movements for change. It’s a powerful way to uplift the voices of marginalized communities, giving them a way to tell their stories authentically.
Community members, advocates, and artists are coming together in two locations — Pasco and Seattle — so you can join the event closest to you.
Both gatherings will be dedicated to creating art and posters that uplift the importance of immigrant access to healthcare, defense against deportation, and the right to living freely and with the dignity that everyone deserves.
When we create together, we remind ourselves and our communities that the path to justice is a shared fight.

Nos estamos preparando para nuestro noveno Día de Abogacía para Inmigrantes y Refugiados (IRAD, por sus siglas en inglés) y queremos asegurarnos de que sus voces se escuchen cuando nos reunamos en Olympia para exigirles a los legisladores de Washington que defiendan a las comunidades de inmigrantes en este momento.
Antes de ir a Olympia en enero, ¡únase a nosotros el sábado 15 de noviembre, de 1:30 a 3:30 pm, para el Día de Arte y Abogacía de WAISN! Juntos, haremos carteles y obras de arte para llevar a IRAD y amplificar nuestra voz colectiva en el Capitolio.
El arte siempre ha sido una parte esencial en los movimientos por el cambio. Es una forma poderosa de elevar las voces de las comunidades marginadas, dándoles una forma de contar sus historias de manera auténtica.
Los miembros de la comunidad, activistas y artistas se reunirán en dos lugares, Pasco y Seattle, para que usted pueda participar en el evento más cercano a su ubicación.
Los dos encuentros estarán dedicados a crear arte y carteles que destaquen la importancia de que los inmigrantes tengan acceso a la atención médica, la defensa contra la deportación y el derecho a vivir libremente y con la dignidad que todos merecen.
