Showing Up Changes Everything
Showing up matters. Just ask NDTC alum Mindy O’Neall. Last week, she flipped Fairbanks, Alaska’s mayoral seat, ousting a Republican incumbent in a city most Democrats had given up on winning.
Mindy trained with NDTC in 2020 and ran on collaboration, affordable housing, and community trust. And she won.
Now it’s your turn to show up. No Kings Day this Saturday is on track for record turnout, with MSNBC reporting historic numbers expected nationwide. Millions are preparing to take a stand against authoritarian overreach.
Whether this is your first protest or you’ve been organizing for years, Saturday is the day to show up and make your voice count. We’re here to support you with our new protest course. Use it to brush up on your skills, to train a volunteer, or to get your neighbors up to speed.
Build the movement. Take action. Make history this Saturday, October 18.

Why this story matters:
When the right-wing government abandoned the people, locals stepped up to keep Acadia open. Communities can protect what matters even when leadership fails. Democracy needs that same grit.
