This event is a show of support and encouragement for the family of Sergio Cerda, who was first detained during a citizenship interview in Yakima on April 24, 2025, and later self-deported from the Northwest Detention Center in Tacoma on June 13, 2025, returning to his country of birth, Mexico. Sergio is now living outside of Tapachula, Chiapas, where he is helping his extended family with their farmland and reconnecting with relatives he had not seen in 25 years.
