At Leaders We Deserve, we’re building the next generation of young progressive leaders — people ready to stand up for their communities and take on Trump and the far right.
But we can only accomplish our mission if we know what’s working — and what’s not. So tell us:
Which Democrats are taking charge and successfully leading the fight against Trump?
We all know of too many Democratic incumbents asleep at the wheel.
They’ve grown silent, complacent, and beholden to special interests while their constituents need them more than ever. They view public office as a right that they deserve — not a responsibility they should have to earn from voters.
We’re calling them out and challenging them in races up and down the ballot. But more importantly, we’re uplifting the leaders who are doing the work to organize, lead, and defend their communities from Trump.
Thankfully, some big-name Democrats have met the moment, fearlessly taken on Trump, and consistently shown up — folks like Newsom, Pritzker, AOC, and Bernie, among others.
We’re also proud of our LWD-backed champions making big waves:
- Molly Cook, the youngest person ever elected to the Texas State Senate, leading walkouts and fighting gerrymandering
- Oscar De Los Santos, repealing abortion bans and defending our rights in Arizona
- Zohran Mamdani, Chi Ossé, Greg Casar — young, unapologetic leaders beating the odds and spearheading progressive policies
And maybe there’s a leader you’re looking up to that we haven’t heard of yet. Whether it’s a small-town mayor, city council member, or community activist, no role is insignificant when it comes to building real grassroots power.
