Unexpected Wins and Dismissed (Sandwich) Cases
Amid the headlines, it’s easy to miss that not everyone is rolling over for Trump. Voters are speaking up loudly in special elections, and people are speaking out even when it costs them. Which is how you know they’re done. Also, despite its best efforts to weaponize the justice system, the administration is, to paraphrase the New York Times, failing to secure all the verdicts it would like – whether that’s redistricting or punishing sandwich throwers.
Have a lovely, restful Labor Day weekend!
P.S. We have moved to traindems.org! If you see emails pop up from social@traindems.org, that’s us! You can mark it as safe in your inbox, we promise.

Why this story is important:

Why this story is important:
First, the EPA, now FEMA – speak out and you lose your job. The real losers are the public – we are less safe. (Note: The “Katrina Declaration” letter comes days before the 20th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina, after which Congress demanded better national disaster response.)
