In a sickening development, Donald Trump says he won’t rule out pardoning Ghislaine Maxwell, the notorious convicted sex trafficker and Jeffrey Epstein accomplice.1
“I’m allowed to give her a pardon,” Trump said.2
This is a disgusting escalation in the Epstein cover-up.
And MoveOn is exposing this disgrace with a hard-hitting billboard demanding “Stop the Epstein cover-up!”—which includes a damning photo of Donald Trump and the convicted sex offender—in the heart of the district of MAGA Speaker Mike Johnson. We’re calling Johnson out for sending Congress home early rather than allowing a vote on releasing the Epstein files.
But we need to ratchet up the heat in our broader accountability campaign targeting Republicans who are stonewalling efforts to make Epstein-related documents public.
Which is why, if we can raise the money, we will keep our billboard up for longer, place another billboard at Mar-a-Lago so Trump is forced to see it, and flood Republican districts across the country with digital ads blasting the cover-up.
Maxwell was convicted of sex trafficking and other charges in 2021 after working with Epstein for a decade to identify young girls, groom them, and then transport them to Epstein’s properties in New York, Florida, New Mexico, and elsewhere, where they were sexually abused.3
Now, Trump is considering a pardon for her.
Sickening.
Disgusting.
Evil.
And the American people know it. Just 13 percent of voters approve of Trump’s handling of the Epstein case.4
MoveOn is harnessing this energy and has launched a multipronged campaign on this issue, including a petition calling for the release of the Epstein files that has been signed by more than 46,000 MoveOn members across the country.5
Now, we need to take the next step: put up a billboard at Mar-a-Lago and flood Republican districts with ads exposing the cover-up.
Thanks for all you do.
