MESSAGE FROM THE CHAIR
Happy Friday, Washington Democrats!
Ballots for the 2025 Primary Election are being mailed out today! Please keep an eye out to make sure you receive yours and then don’t wait, return your ballot ASAP to make your voice heard and help great Democrats win!
The August 5th Primary is our first opportunity to go head to head against MAGA Republicans since November 2024 and we need to fight hard, show our strength, and win.
- In LD 5 Sen. Victoria Hunt is fighting to preserve the late Bill Ramos’ Democratic legacy – going head-to-head against Republican opponent, failed State Rep. Chad Magendanz.
- In LD 26 Democratic incumbent Sen. Deborah Krishnadasan is expected to face off against MAGA bully, GOP State Rep. Michelle Caldier.
- In municipal races statewide, we are working tirelessly to uplift great Democrats, grow and deepen our powerful and diverse bench, and take on MAGA candidates including those championed by deplorable far-right groups like Moms for Liberty.
We need you with us and we need you with us now – please consider signing up for a GOTV shift to help us support these great candidates and win big in August and November!
Issaquah GOTV – 8/2 at 10:00am – sign up here!

Stay tuned for more engagement opportunities to be announced!
Thank you for standing with us – let’s stand strong now so we can win big in November and for years to come!
Big Ugly Bill Update
Trump’s MAGA budget continues to be a disaster for the American people. Learn more about the dollars and cents via this site:

It really is a travesty that makes everyone but Trump’s billionaire donors worse off – we must continue raising our voices in opposition and doing all we can to stop these damaging policies in their tracks!
Working for Washington
We held another very successful People’s Town Hall in Pasco this past Monday to build excitement in advance of the Primary and engage Democrats statewide!
Attorney General Nick Brown addressed more than 130 Washingtonians – shining a light on the Trump administration’s illegal power grabs, ongoing threats to democracy, and what Washington state is doing to fight back against Washington, D.C.
You can watch the livestream of the event here!
Thank you to everyone who attended – and to our terrific speakers for their inspiring presentations! And stay tuned for future town halls and other engagement opportunities in your area!

What I’m Reading/Watching
This week, I’ve been thinking a lot about the idea of making the impossible possible. The problems we currently face as a party and a county can sometimes feel insurmountable – and we all need a reminder that we can achieve incredible things when we work together and never let up.
First – check out this inspiring piece from Dr. Rachel Bitecofer telling the story of the Berlin Sky Bridge. A good reminder that when the going gets tough, it is often the most important time to push through and keep moving forward.
Second – and a bit more lighthearted. I’ve really been enjoying the latest season of FX’s The Bear. No other show gives a better window into working together as a team to tackle seemingly unsolvable problems. So if you have a spare 30 minutes (or more) I highly encourage you to give it a watch!
Thanks for all you do,

Chair Shasti Conrad
