I can’t emphasize this enough: the Republican spending bill is an absolute disaster for Washington.

And I’m not afraid to keep calling out GOP Representatives like Michael Baumgartner and Dan Newhouse, who completely sold us out. They voted for a cruel, heartless piece of legislation that slashes health care, cuts food aid, and devastates working families in every corner of our state.

It’s a Big Ugly Betrayal.

Here’s what their vote means for our state:

🚨 Over 230,000 people in Eastern Washington and 300,000 in Central Washington could lose Apple Health coverage. 

🚨More than 900,000 Washingtonians stand to lose access to food assistance through SNAP.

🚨 14 of our hospitals are at risk of closing, and one in four nursing homes will have to close their doors.

🚨 Millions of jobs are threatened—making this the biggest job-killing bill in U.S. history.

And all of it is just to hand massive tax breaks to billionaires and Trump’s ultra-wealthy donors.

This isn’t fiscal policy, it’s billionaires declaring war on the rest of us. A direct attack on families, seniors, kids, and Washingtonians with disabilities. And we are furious.

Baumgartner even bragged about backing this bill—as if forcing people off health care is something to celebrate.

We won’t stand by. We’re building a grassroots movement to defeat these extremists and elect Democrats who will fight for Washington, not sell us out. Will you chip in now to help us take back the House and stop Trump’s dangerous, billionaires-first agenda in its tracks?

If we don’t fight back now, we’re looking at a future where basic rights are reserved for the wealthy, leaving the rest of us to fend for ourselves.
