Over 100 Washingtonians came out to hear Washington Democratic champion, Pramilla Jayapal, me, and other local Democratic leaders discuss what matters most to them. The energy was electric, the room was packed, and one thing’s for sure: we can tell these People’s Town Hall events are having an impact and leaving folks fired up.
They’re shining a light on the real impacts of Trump’s extremist policies, from attacks on immigrants and threats to birthright citizenship, to the GOP’s plan to rip health insurance away from 626,000 Washingtonians.
And they’re putting pressure on Republicans who think they can get away with it.
We’re organizing, we’re educating, and we’re empowering people to take action. But these events don’t happen without grassroots support.
