Dear MoveOn member,
Republicans in the House just passed Donald Trump’s bill to take away health insurance from millions of Americans. The bill also guts food assistance programs, the clean energy transition, and student loan forgiveness—all to provide massive tax breaks for the ultra-wealthy.1
It’s despicable—and Republicans’ own internal polling confirms what we already knew: Voters across America overwhelmingly oppose cuts to Medicaid and other health programs.2
One poll finds that voters in every single congressional district in America oppose health care cuts.3
Yet Trump and Republicans in the House just passed their bill to slash health care for tens of millions of Americans anyway.
We have a plan to hold these Republicans accountable, but we need your help … today.
MoveOn is launching an urgent ads and billboards campaign targeting vulnerable Republican representatives who barely won their seats in 2024. These hard hitting digital ads and billboards will help ensure these vulnerable Republicans face the consequences at the ballot box for cutting health care and food assistance—all to give billionaires even more tax breaks.
Will you start a monthly donation of $5 to fund our digital ad and billboard campaign targeting vulnerable Republican representatives who barely won their seats in 2024? Your ongoing donation will support getting these ads up and keeping them running for as long as it takes and will also help power other critical tactics to hold these Republicans accountable.
No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.
The Republicans we are targeting know they’re vulnerable.
They won by razor-thin margins in 2024, and they’re already worried about 2026. That’s why they’re trying to hide what they did, pushing debates on Medicaid cuts into the middle of the night and imposing committee rules that prevent Democrats from calling out their lies.
Our ads and billboards turn up the heat on Republicans in key districts.
- In Colorado, we’re targeting Gabe Evans, who won his 2024 election by less than 1 percentage point.
- In Pennsylvania, we’re targeting Ryan Mackenzie, who won his 2024 election by just 4,062 votes.
- In Nebraska, we’re targeting Don Bacon, whose district Kamala Harris won in 2024.
- In Texas, we’re targeting Monica De La Cruz’s district, where only 8 percent of voters support cuts to Medicaid.4
- In New York, we’re targeting Mike Lawler, whom The New York Times has called “one of the House’s most vulnerable Republicans” and who is already facing intense pressure from his constituents.5
- In Virginia, we’re targeting Jen Kiggans, who is already feeling the heat for her vote to cut health care.6
We’re also going into the belly of the beast and putting up digital ads and billboards in the district of MAGA Speaker of the House Mike Johnson.
These Republicans turned their backs on millions of Americans who depend on Medicaid. Now, they must face the consequences.
This bill is far from a done deal. It now goes to the Senate and then will come back to the House, so we absolutely still can stop it. But whether that happens is up to us, and we urgently need to hold these Republicans in moderate districts accountable and make them feel the heat.
Remember, the polling is clear: Even Republican voters don’t want these cuts. With your help, we can make sure every constituent in these key districts knows exactly what their representative just did to their health care.
With your help, we’re going to turn up accountability to an unbearable level, for as long as it takes. But time is of the essence. Will you pitch in $5 a month? Your ongoing support couldn’t be more crucial to sustaining our fight.
No, I’m sorry, I can’t make a monthly donation.
Thanks for all you do.
