Across the country, thousands of volunteers are taking action to fight for a future filled with equality, justice, and joy. You may have been one of these volunteers—MoveOn members have been hard at work writing postcards, knocking on doors, and phone-banking to have conversations with undecided voters. With only 57 days left until Election Day, we must continue to relentlessly rally behind Vice President Kamala Harris and defend our democracy from authoritarian threats.
While we’re energized to elect Vice President Harris, we know that there are key voters in crucial battleground states who may need some extra support in turning out this November. By having conversations with these voters, we can protect the progress we’ve made and continue to drive positive change that will create a future we can all believe in. MoveOn’s team has narrowed down precise groups of voters in the closest battleground states who will likely determine the election outcome and who need our outreach. Your conversations with undecided voters can make the difference as we fight for a Harris-Walz presidency and down-ballot victories this November. By having conversations about the issues that we all care about, including bodily autonomy, climate justice, and economic equality, we can make sure that voters who likely support Vice President Harris will get the extra nudge to turn out and vote!
Last week, Kamala Harris emphasized to her supporters in Michigan just how tight this race will be until the very end. “So let’s not pay too much attention to the polls,” she cautioned. “Let’s know … we are out here running like we are the underdog in this race because we know what we are fighting for.”1 We know that this will be an election won on the margins and that we must fiercely defend our democracy by making sure that all voters know exactly what’s at stake this November.
