Join us for a series of focused, hands-on trainings on VoteBuilder and MiniVAN throughout 2025.
Whether you’re a beginner or already somewhat experienced, you’ll leave these trainings with technical know-how and hard skills. And if you already have access to VoteBuilder, you’ll have opportunities to follow along and practice throughout the sessions.
We have two sessions coming up right away!
March 17th – Tech Time: MiniVAN for Canvassing
This session covers how to use MiniVAN for direct voter contact. You’ll learn to set up a canvass in VoteBuilder, from selecting your universe to cutting turf, assigning lists, and syncing data. It’s the perfect technical-side complement to Running an Effective Canvass Operation
If you’re a VoteBuilder user organizing a canvass for volunteers and organizers, this training is for you! If you’re already familiar with cutting turf or setting up canvassing campaigns, this session may be a bit basic, but you’re welcome to join.
March 26th – Tech Time: Setting Up a Virtual Phone Bank
This session covers setting up and managing Virtual Phone Banks in VoteBuilder. You’ll learn the full process, from creating a phone bank to assigning lists and tracking progress. It’s the perfect technical complement to, “Phone Banking for Political Campaigns.”
If you’re a VoteBuilder user planning to create or manage voter contact or volunteer recruitment phone banks, this training is for you! If you’re already familiar with setting up phone banks in VoteBuilder or using the OpenVPB tool, this session may be a bit basic, but you’re still welcome to join.
BONUS! Be sure to check out our course, “Using VoteBuilder for Direct Voter Contact,” for a deeper dive into all your Tech Time skills or reach out to our resident NGP VAN expert, Donald, at donald@traindemocrats.org with any specific questions.
