ACLU – August 31, 2024

Posted on August 31, 2024

The ACLU has a unique and irreplaceable role to play in the fight for civil rights. And so do you, ACLU Supporter.

That’s why we need you to become a member right away.

BECOME A MEMBER

If you’ve been waiting for the right time to become an ACLU member for 2024, ACLU Supporter, now is the moment.

Here’s why:

  • Across the country, our Abortion Criminal Defense Initiative is working to defend abortion rights and connect those facing abortion-related charges with attorneys
  • We’re also at court in multiple states challenging discriminatory laws that attack trans youth and prevent them from securing the gender-affirming care they deserve
  • In Texas, we’re fighting back against the most harmful anti-immigrant law in the country because everyone, regardless of race or immigration status, has the freedom to move and the freedom to thrive
  • Nationwide, we’re working to defend the rights of students to protest and to learn free from book bans

Only the ACLU and our national network of attorneys can pull off all this work, but we are at an all-hands-on-deck moment. That’s why I’m asking you to support all of this urgent work by becoming an ACLU member today.

With your membership support, we can redouble our efforts to defend abortion access, strike down anti-immigration laws, protect transgender rights, stop censorship in schools, and so much more. Your membership gift can make the difference in our ability to commit to this crucial work.

We’re ready to take on all these fights and more nationwide – but our success depends on the passion, energy, and strong support of members like you. That’s why we need you to become an ACLU member today.

Thanks for all you do,

Anthony D. Romero
