FROM THE TRAIL: BARNSTORMING THE BATTLEGROUNDS
This past week Team Harris-Walz continued to barnstorm the battlegrounds and talk to the voters that will decide this election (from those watching Fox News to the listeners of the Call Her Daddy podcast), call out Donald Trump for his failed record and extreme agenda, unite voters from across the political spectrum, and release new ads.
Additionally, former Republican Congresswoman Liz Cheney campaigned with Vice President Kamala Harris in Ripon, Wisconsin. Congresswoman Cheney praised the Vice President for her dedication to protecting American democracy and condemned Donald Trump and JD Vance for pushing the same old playbook.
Cheney is joining the ranks of Republicans who are putting country over party and endorsing Vice President Harris to defeat Donald Trump. The growing list includes more than 200 Bush, McCain, and Romney alums and many former Trump admin officials and aides. The people who know Donald Trump best know he is unfit to serve as our commander-in-chief — and are ready to chart a new way forward.
SUPPORTER SPOTLIGHT: HEATHER IN COLUMBIA, SOUTH CAROLINA
Heather is a single mother originally from New Jersey living in Columbia, South Carolina, and has a daughter, Kierstynn, who she raised as a single mother. Heather’s only sister, Ellen, passed away from cancer in 2018 and her mother, Gwen, passed away in 2019. Since then, Heather has provided care for her father, Keith, a U.S. Air Force veteran, and is inspired by Vice President Harris’s story of caring for her mother while serving her country.
She is voting for Vice President Harris because she has seen how successful the Biden-Harris administration has been for the country and for her. In August of this year, Heather had her student loans forgiven by the administration. It has changed her life and she couldn’t be more grateful.
