The AAUW State Senator and State Legislator Forum will be held on Tuesday, October 1st, from 5:30-7:00 p.m. at the Performing Arts Center/Hall of Science on the Walla Walla Community College campus. This will be one of the only opportunities to hear directly from the candidates. Come hear Linda tell the red hats what’s what.

A Crucial Time for Democracy
From the presidential race down to local elections like ours, the stakes have never been higher. Women’s reproductive health is at risk everywhere—even here in Washington State. In 2022, the Republican incumbent voted against maintaining safe and legal abortion in Washington State (HB1851). Local races matter, and electing leaders who will fight for our healthcare, education, and housing rights is more important than ever. This is our moment to ensure that democracy works for all of us.

This past week, Linda was at the Waitsburg Salmon Bake and the Waitsburg Candidate forum. I connected with many of you and had open discussions about the most pressing issues our district faces, such as healthcare access, affordable childcare, and the housing crisis. What really struck me is how much our community values practical solutions, and these are the exact issues I’ll focus on in Olympia.
About Linda
If I’m elected, I’ll be the only medical doctor serving in the Washington State Legislature. Now think about that—we’re in the midst of a healthcare crisis —and there isn’t a single doctor in the House. My experience as a physician is crucial to making informed decisions about healthcare policies that will benefit us all
